Congress of Members
The annual Congress of Members, where OAFP policy positions related to healthcare and health policy will be considered, will next be held on May 31, 2025. Participation is open to any OAFP member at no charge.
OAFP members who wish to submit resolutions for the OAFP Congress to consider are encouraged to submit their resolutions or concepts to OAFP staff by email at any time. The 2025 deadline is April 18. The resources linked below will help you write a successful resolution.
Resources to help members create clear, powerful resolutions:
- The OAFP Policy Handbook is a compendium of current OAFP policies, updated each year after the Congress.
- AAFP Policies are also available online. Check these first to see if your issue is already covered.
- The OAFP Bylaws dictate how the organization conducts its business.
- A guide to writing resolutions can serve as a template for your resolution.
