The ACIP met this week, and as expected, made changes to recommendations on Hepatitis B vaccination for newborns, and to the use of the MMRV vaccine before the age of four. They also moved to stop recommending the COVID vaccines even for those over 65 without consulting with a clinician.
Oregon, as part of an alliance with California and Washington, announced this week that people could access vaccines from a pharmacist without a prescription.
Stories are emerging from individuals who work at the CDC about the uncertainty reigning within the agency.
Oregon’s Senators Merkley and Wyden, along with Rep. Val Hoyle, have introduced the Patients Over Profits Act, which would make it so large insurers could not own clinics that participate in Medicare.
