Volunteer Opportunities
OAFP is participating in a pilot program with Oregon HOSA (Future Health Professionals) to educate high school students about the importance of family medicine. This year, Family Medicine is included as one of the topics of HOSA’s national and state leadership conferences. After interviewing family physicians, FM residents, and FM medical students about their careers and education, the students will be required to create a presentation that will be judged by their peers.
OAFP has also been invited to participate in Oregon HOSA’s state leadership conference which will take place in Portland from March 10 to 12, 2022. HOSA Oregon invites our members to present materials and to judge presentations during the conference.
We feel that this is a great opportunity for our members to become involved in promoting pathways into family medicine.
