Oregon Pain Summit

Now, in its 4th year, the Oregon Pain Summit is an interdisciplinary conference that explores the pain experience , its contributing factors, and potential treatments from an evidence-based perspective. As the chronic pain epidemic continues to grow unchecked, there have been large advances in the understanding of pain’s pathophysiology and its management. The Oregon Pain Summit hosts local, national, and international experts on pain and provides attendees with the latest updates on this pervasive condition. Topics covered include – the neurobiology of pain, trauma informed care, and the evidence behind current treatments. This conference targets any clinician or patient who treats and experiences pain. Registration will be both in person and virtual.
This year’s learning objectives are:
- Understand and be able to explain the physiology of pain
- Explore why certain treatments may be effective or ineffective
- Learn trauma informed practices and be able to apply them
- Understand opiate use disorder and the harm reduction mindset and principles
- Be able to apply basic neurocognitive principles in the management of chronic pain
